LASER CUT MANDALA

Henna design and its part in Indian culture and art has always been an interest of mine. The delicacy and intricate detail of the art makes the take their time when looking at a piece. Using inspiration from traditional henna and mandala designs I created my own henna inspired design. I wanted to push the intricacy of henna designs further, and did this by adding dimension to it. Using a laser cutter, I cut and stacked matte board to create a three dimensional mandala.
